We are a non-profit organisation with the aim of conserving Sydney's history through collecting antique bottles and many different categories of collectables.
Founded over 25 years ago, our Club continues to promote the hobby of collecting and preservation of history associated with those items.
The Sydney Club was originally formed by a group of serious bottle collectors to promote the collecting of all sorts of used bottles. The club also promotes the qcquisition, preservation, researching and sharing of history regarding bottle makets eg; Potteries and Glass manufacturing companies and also the users of bottle eg; Coridal Companies, Hotels and early Inns.
As interest grew the Club expanded to encompass the collecting and preservation of virtually all types of collectables. Membership now includes people who collect such diversified items as early Cast Iron, Soft Drink and Beer Cans, labels from all sorts of bottles, Soft Drinks, Sauces, jams etc.
The Club has members who have been collecting for 30 or more years. It also aims to foster collecting and preservation attitudes among younger persons with children often joining in with mum and dad and having collecitons of their own. The Club distributes a small monthly magazine to members.
Our monthly magazine contains news items, historical articles and answers and questions mebmers have regarding items in their collections or even items they have seen and are simply curious about. Like all clubs, the 'Antique Bottle, Ceramic and Collectables Club' is always looking for motivated people to become members.
For a small annual fee of $45.00 (no joining fee) you can also obtain the benefits outlined.
Bi-Annual Shows
Our club has a strong history of organising some of the biggest collectable fairs in Sydney. Our last National show at Penrith in 2009 was a huge success. We are looking forward to 2011 to return to Penrith.
